Buttons have been called little masterpieces of art. Their pretty faces, craftsmanship and age are among what compels us to love them.
But what of their cousins…the mass-produced and plainer garment buttons? How do we show them love?
An answer is in the “magical” creation of beautiful button art and crafts. NBS invites you to get creative with challenges, videos and workshops!

No Harm Method
NBS encourages button jewelry and crafting using “no-harm” methods: Buttons and buckles will not be intentionally damaged in the creative process.
Annual Creative Challenges
We’ve been challenging you to get creative since 2022!
This year’s NBS Convention is in Manchester, NH. The event starts on July 26th, and you have until July 20th to choose, create and enter any or all of the Challenges.
As part of the Annual National Convention everyone is invited to participate in the Creative Challenge. Participation can be online or in person at the convention. See the Challenges listed in the December 2025 Button Bulletin and choose any or all! The deadline for entering the 2026 Creative Challenge is July 20, 2026.

• All entries require a small entry fee.
• No limit on the number of entries per Challenge per person.
• All entries must be purchased by July 20th 2026 and may be submitted
on site on Monday July 27th at the 2026 NBS convention

Entries will be shared at the 2026 Fall Fest. Get your creative juices flowing and have fun.
